Officers, firefighters play in baseball tournament for good cause
EL PASO (KTSM) — They put their lives on the line every day and serve our community, but Saturday, they took a much-needed break to play a good ol’ game of baseball.
Candlelighters hosted their 4th annual Guns and Hoses Baseball Tournament at Cohen Stadium Saturday.
It benefits the non-profit organization that supports children with cancer.
Seven local law enforcement agencies are battling it out to be the winner.
"You’re going to see your neighbor. You're going to see an uncle. You're going to see somebody who puts service with the police department, first responders and it's a chance for us to support them," said Ray DeLaFuente with Candlelighters.
Candlelighters hoped to raise $10,000 in the tournament.
