Washington D.C. - President Obama welcomed Mexico President Felipe Calderon to the white house today where immigration and drug cartels are expected to dominate the agenda.
Hanging over the state visit is Arizona's controversial immigration law making it a crime to be in the United States illegally.
Both leaders have strongly opposed the law.
President Obama says he has high hopes the two leaders can accomplish great things...
"Together, we can help create jobs and prosperity for our people. We can ensure that our common border is secure, modern and efficient, including immigration that is orderly and safe.In the 21st century we are defined not by our borders, but by our bonds. So I say to you and to the Mexican people: Let us stand together, let us face the future together, let us work together."
