WASHINGTON D.C. - President Obama spent part of his day in the doctor's office getting 12 stitches in his lip.

The president was seen leaving the doctor's office covering his mouth.

According to the White House, Mr. Obama was accidentally elbowed during a game of basketball with family and friends at Ft. McNair.

Later, cameras outside the White House got a glimpse of the president through a window holding an ice pack on his lip.
