Northeast man involved in collision had over 2 pounds of marijuana in vehicle
Officers assigned to the Northeast Regional Command Center arrested a man for possession of Marijuana after his 2002 Lincoln collided with a parked trailer.
Police said Gregg Anthony Gomez was driving on the 6000 block of Deer in Northeast El Paso, Wednesday evening.
According to authorities, Gomez attempted to flee the scene and became confrontational with witnesses. When officers arrested Gomez, they discovered he was in possession of two bricks of marijuana.
The marijuana bricks were located inside the vehicle that Gomez was driving and had a weight of 2 pounds and 4 ounces.
Gomez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on charges of possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces - under 5 pounds and obstruction/retaliation.
His bonds totaled $6,000.00.
