A Las Cruces senior living facility is dealing with a health scare.

85 residents and staff members at the Good Samaritan Society Las Cruces Village have been diagnosed with norovirus.

Visitors are urged to stay away, and those who do enter are being given masks and gloves.

According to the New Mexico Health Department, seven people have been hospitalized so far, but all have since been released.

Norovirus can cause an upset stomach, nausea, and diarrhea.

More than 56,000 people are hospitalized by the virus every year.

Did these people merely present with symptoms typical of Norovirus? OR were tests actually run? Was this clinically proven by lab results to be Norovirus? OR is it assumed to be Norovirus because it LOOKS like Norovirus? Please. I am not casually asking and would like a response. email me at
