No Verdict in David Marmolejo Murder Trial

EL PASO - No verdict yet in the David Marmolejo murder trial.

After deliberating all day, the jury is going home without reaching a decision.

Jurors will reconvene tomorrow and try again.

Marmolejo is accused of strangling his mother Gloria to death and of dumping her body in the Santa Teresa desert.

After following this trial, I find it truly amazing that the jury failed to convict this guy after deliberating a day and a half. But then again, this is El Paso; and in Gonzalo Garcia's court, the defendant always gets an extra defense attorney, i.e. the judge himself.
