After three days of negotiations, Newschannel 9 has learned the annoucement will come today following meetings between Athletic Director McKinley Boston and  DeWayne Walker.

Walker will join the Jacksonville Jaguars as a defensive backs coach. He spent four years as Aggies Head Coach posting a 10-40 record including 1-11 in 2012.

Boston told Newschannel 9 on Wednesday night in an exclusive inte rview, "I spoke to him and like I say, he is negotiating with them and if the negotiations go well then he'll have a decision to make wether or not he'll take it or stay but as of now he has not acknowledged, he has not advised me that he has taken the job, they have offered it to him though."

Dr. Boston also acknowledged new offensive coordinator Doug Martin, who served in that same position with the Aggies in 2011, would make a good fit with the New Mexico State program, but would not speculate as to his status.
