NMSU Provost and Executive Vice President Resigns
LAS CRUCES, N.M. — New Mexico State University will have to search for a new provost and executive vice president after Wendy Wilkins announced she would be resigning her position Tuesday afternoon.
Wilkins will leave her position at the end of the week and be on leave til the end of the semester.
Wilkins has served as provost since 2010 and plans on retiring at the beginning of next year.
The resignation comes just weeks after NMSU and President Barbara Couture parted ways.
