EL PASO - New Mexico State University police are investigating the death of a student.

Police say a passerby found 23-year old Eric Morris around 7:00 a.m near Knox and Stewart Streets. He was unconscious and had injuries to head and torso.

Paramedics rushed Morris to a hospital where he later died.

Investigators say there are no signs of foul play, but they won't know what caused his death until an autopsy is performed.
