NMSU police identify driver in Thursday crash on campus
LAS CRUCES, N.M. — New Mexico State University Police on Tuesday identified the driver who hit a woman with her car in a crosswalk on the west part of campus last week.
Police said Catherine Parra, 22, hit Lucy Sandoval, 53, on Thursday at the intersection of Know Street and Stewart Street.
Sandoval was airlifted to University Medical Center in El Paso for treatment of her injuries.
NMSU police said they have sent the case over to the district attorney to review and decide if there's any charges that will be filed.
