LAS CRUCES — The placement of girders/beams for the westbound bridge is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday Oct. 31 . This closure will impact a portion of Motel Blvd/NM-292 between Amador to Lakeside Drive. Detours will be posted alerting motorists to utilize Amador or US-70/Picacho, said officials from the New Mexico Department of Transportation. 

The NMDOT continues to encourage motorists to slow down and use extreme caution in and around the work zones. Updates on road projects and traffic alerts will be posted on the department's web site www.NMroads.com, and by calling 511 in New Mexico or 1-800-432-4269.
