Nine dead following Dallas Cowboys watch-party shooting

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Plano Police say that nine people, including the suspected gunman are confirmed dead in a shooting that happened at a North Texas home during a Dallas Cowboys watch party Sunday night.

Shots rang out just after 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Spring Creek Parkway after someone reported hearing gunshots, according to NBCDFW.

The first responding officer arrived to the scene about two minutes after the initial 911 call, and reportedly heard gunshots coming from the home. The officer confronted the shooter, killing him.

Seven people were found dead inside the home, two were rushed to the hospital where one later died from their injuries. The suspected shooter is also counted among the dead.

Plano police say that all victims are adults in their 20s and 30s. Police have not said the direct relationship the shooter had with the victims. During a press conference Monday afternoon, Plano police Chief Gregory W. Rushin said, "well, we know that the shooter was related to that property or had been related to that property."

The victims of the shooting have yet to be identified by law enforcement.
