WASHINGTON- The National Football League Player's Association has agreed to the deal the owner's proposed just days ago.

Football fans everywhere can now rejoice that the four and a half month lockout is over.

"Well, it's been a long time coming. And football's back and that's the great news for everybody. I want to thank all of the players for their leadership and for securing the long-term future of the game. A 10-year agreement is extraordinarily great for our game, but mostly for our fans," says NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

"We worked hard to get a fair deal done. We didn't get everything that either side wanted. There's a lot of things I'm sure players wanted and owners wanted that we didn't get- but we did arrive at a deal that we think is fair and balanced," says DeMaurice Smith, NFL Players Association.

Smith said the NFLPA must still re-certify their players union, which could be done in a few days.  The union must be together when deciding issues such as health benefits, etc.
