El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — Two New Years babies were born just seconds after midnight in El Paso. Kamila Gonzalez was born at midnight exactly at Providence Memorial Hospital. Both mom and the seven and a half pound baby girl are doing well.
And just down the hall, another birth, two seconds after midnight. Inna Garcia weighs six and a half pounds and both she and her mother are also healthy. Amazingly, both were natural births.
"I never thought that would happen. I actually don't like attention that much, so this is very weird, but it's exciting, with everybody into my baby," said Anaiz Gonzalez, Kamila's mother.
"I'm so happy. I have so much joy. It's such a great surprise for this new year," said Imma's father, Elices Garcia.
Inna's parents are from Juarez, while Kamila's family is from El Paso. Both babies also had siblings who were very excited to meet them.
