HORIZON CITY — A spokesperson for Horizon City confirmed to News Channel 9 that plans were underway for a new Wal-mart on the southwest corner of Horizon Boulevard and Darrington Road. 

Preliminary and final subdivision plots submitted by Conde Inc. were approved for the potential superstore back in August during a city council meeting. The area approved covers approximately 24.908 acres.

Horizon's city council meeting Nov. 27 will discuss further steps to finalize the process.
