PUERTO RICO — A scientist in Puerto Rico took her appetite past her taste buds as she developed a perfume made to smell like the Latino staple food of tamales, NBC Latino reported.
The expert perfumer, Zoradya Ortiz is a seasoned expert in developing smells, she said, and aims to connect Latinos to their culture by sense of smell.
The tamale fragrance, called "La Diecicho" (the 18th) contains blends of red chili pepper, ginger, pineapple, Indian sandalwood and vanilla.
