New service center opens at El Paso airport
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — United Service Organizations has opened a new center in the El Paso International Airport. Military leaders, volunteers and community supporters came out to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening.
USO El Paso joins a network of more than 160 USO locations around the world serving the military and their families.
"It's kind of the collaboration between different airlines, the airport, our USO, Garisson at Fort Bliss and most importantly Mayor Cook. Mayor Cook had a vision of doing this and he's done it," said Major General Dana Pittard at Fort Bliss.
USO El Paso was made possible by generous donations from the community.
