NM State Police Bust Kids Near Mayfield High
New Mexico State Police have arrested 21 teenagers for using and selling drugs across the street from Mayfield High School in Las Cruces.
Police tell us the kids would gather across the street in the mornings, at noon and after school. But, not all of the kids arrested are actually students at the high school.
According to the State Police, all of the kids are under the age of 18. Most were cited and released to their parents. One of them was detained by authorities because he was already on juvenile probation.
Investigators say they've been watching the area for a couple of weeks and have seen the kids using drugs and selling drugs to other students. Las Cruces police helped with the investigation and helps state police officers identify they kids who were breaking the law.
