NEW MEXICO — According to Forbes Magazine, New Mexico is a death spiral state.
Forbes listed eleven states whose economies are at a high risk of going into a tailspin -- or a death spiral.

New Mexico is rated worst of all.
The magazine says that's because private sector workers are greatly outnumbered by government workers, retired government workers, and people on welfare.
The Forbes article advises people against investing anything in death spiral states.
