New Mexico burn ban takes effect today
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Due to high fire danger across the state of New Mexico, the state has issued fire restrictions that take effect May 8, 2013 at 8 a.m. The restrictions are being imposed on all non-municipal, non-federal and non-tribal land. Smoking, fireworks, campfires, open burning and open fires are prohibited unless several conditions are met.
