El Paso Mayor-Elect Oscar Leeser and four City Council Representatives will be sworn-in to office during an inaugural ceremony Monday.

Larry Romero will be sworn-in as the new representative for District 2 in West-Central El Paso.  Romero is taking over for Susie Byrd who is now serving as a board member for the El Paso Independent School District.

Lily Limon will be the new representative for District 7 in East El Paso.  That seat was previously filled by Steve Ortega who lost a bid for El Paso Mayor during a runoff election on June 15.

Representatives Emma Acosta and Carl Robinson will also be sworn-in to serve new terms.

The inaugural ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Plaza Theatre at 125 Pioneer Plaza in Downtown El Paso.

Seems like Eddie Holguin's ego has gotten a little more inflated. He must be figuring that he will be the next Mayor Pro temp and that the newly elected representatives will give him that boost. I sure hope not. Even though Cook, Ortega, Bird and O'Rourke did not handled the Ballpark & Partner benefits issues the way they should of, that does not mean that we want to go the way of nay say Holguin and Robinson.
