A newly proposed law is asking Texas lawmakers to enforfce stricter laws on certain motorcycle riders.
The bill would require people buying a high performance sports motorcyle to undergo additional safety training courses.
If the rider failed to do so within 6 months of buying the bike, they would face fines up to $1000.
One El Paso family travelled to Austin this week to support the bill.
Their son was killed in an accident in Novermber of 2006. They say inexperience and lack of training were major factors in the crash.
