MESILLA — The Mesilla fire department is finally set to receive their new fire truck. The Spartan Metro Star X pumper is first Type 1 pumper the town has received since 1994. The pumper is replacing their old unit which is more than 25 years old. Fire fighters are expected to receive the new truck at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mesilla fire station on 2670 Calle de Paian drive.
