A new, more powerful El Paso County Ethics Commission is now in place. Monday, the nine-member panel was sworn in at the county courthouse. The previous commission was criticized for not having any enforcement power. This new board can now punish violators. In the next few weeks, the commission will work on changes to the ethics code.
