74th Annual Pilgrimage: Sunday, October 27

The new Bishop of El Paso, Mark Seitz, and the new Bishop of Las Cruces, Oscar Cantu, will make their first climb up Mt. Cristo Rey Sunday, October 27.

It is the 74th annual pilgrimage, which is usually held in October.

The gates will open at 6 a.m. Sunday, and will close at 2 p.m.  Bishops Seitz and Cantu will begin their pilgrimage at 10 a.m. and will hold a mass at the top of the monument at noon.

The public is invited to attend, and encouraged to arrive early as large crowds are expected.  Donations are also encouraged to help with the cost of security and medical services, which are being provided by the City of Sunland Park.  Donations are not required to participate in the climb up the mountain.

There will be no charge for parking.  Pets are not allowed.
