Neighbors voice concerns over central El Paso grocery store
Residents around a local grocery store want its liquor license taken away. Wednesday night a representative with City Representative Courtney Niland's office discussed their concerns.
Neighbors said Jimmy's on Oregon Street in central El Paso is selling liquor to people who are already drunk. They also claim the store allows homeless people to hang around and they are tired of it.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said they can’t revoke the stores license without proof of violations and encourages neighbors to call the cops if they see anything suspicious.
The owner of Jimmy's was reportedly invited to the meeting, but did not show up.
