SOCORRO - Neighbors are concerned over two pit bulls that are guarding a property in Socorro and appear malnourished.
One neighbor tells us she has never seen the owners feed the outdoor dogs or give them water in the several months she can remember them being there. She had been bringing food so they could eat, but the owner of the property put up a sign asking neighbors not to feed the dogs anymore, so she says she stopped. Now her and several other neighbors are concerned that the dogs are getting out and attacking other pets in the neighborhood.
We talked to the owner of the property, and he says he is feeding them everyday and that one of the dogs looks frail because she is sick. But neighbors say because they have never seen the property owner come by, and also because of the behavior of the animals, they don't think the dogs are being fed properly.
