What police say started as a night of petty crime for 18 year old Joe Soto, ended with his arrest.
But not before the teen was tackled and held by an elderly man fed up with neighborhood mischief.
Pauline Ulloa witnessed it all happen.
She says the man caught Soto and another teen inside his garage, trying to take his property.
Ulloa says the elderly man chased the teens down a back alley for nearly a quarter mile, all the time calling for help.
Ulloa couldn't believe the elderly man, who still had his cane, was able to catch up with 18 year old Soto and tackle him to the ground.
Ulloa's husband helped hold Soto until police arrived. She says the other teen took off.
Neighbors can only hope the teens learned a lesson, but tonight they're calling their neighbor a hero.
