Seven suspected hit men are under arrest in Juarez. They're accused of killing three people at the Onix bar. They're also linked to at least 36 execution-style murders in the city. The arrests came on what turned out to be a bloody day all across the city.
Five people were murdered in South Central Juarez. The victims are between the ages of 15 and 20. Relatives and neighbors were shocked to see them dead in the street.
Two men were gunned down while eating at a taco stand on the city's south side. An autopsy shows the victims were shot nearly 90 times. The gunmen fled before police arrived.
Hit men went on the attack in the lower valley of Juarez cornering two men in a van with Texas plates. Both died of gunshot wounds. Police have no suspects in the case.
And on Juarez' west side two men were on the wrong street at the wrong time. Gunmen shot them both dead in their jeep. There are no arrests to report in any of the murders.
Despite the added presence of Mexican army troops, Juarez is easily outpacing last year's record of more than 1,600 murders.
