NDMF Announces Battle of the Bands, High School Art Contest

Grand Prizes Include Performance/Exhibit Slots, Cash Awards
EL PASO — Organizers of the Neon Desert Music Festival will hold two competitions that would give musicians and artists a chance for exposure in the upcoming May 26 event.
They encourage El Paso county and surrounding students enrolled in high school to enter an art competition promoting creative culture. Prizes for this contest include cash awards, tickets to the festival and a spot in the art exhibit at the all-day festival on May 26 in downtown El Paso. Individual and group entries will be accepted and will be judged on theme, aesthetic, originality and point-of-view. Deadline is April 20. On April 28th, bands and DJs from around the southwest will battle it out for a spot on the Neon Desert 2012 lineup. The event will be held at Tricky Falls and is open to all ages.
