Thursday, July 19, 2007- President Bush weighed in today on the fate of convicted Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. They were convicted in 2006 of shooting a suspected drug smuggler, sparking a nationwide controversy including pleas from Senator John Cornyn and State Representative Silvestre Reyes, to the president requesting he commute their sentences.
