EL PASO - Music Under the Stars lovers will get to enjoy alcohol again at the Chamizal National Memorial Park, but now it'll be sold.

As we reported, attendance dropped after the National Park refused alcohol at the series of concerts last year.

The City of El Paso entertained the idea of moving it, and the County offered Ascarate Park.
City leaders eventually decided to keep it at the Chamizal.

However, the park is now accepting applications from alcohol vendors to sell booze at the event this summer, instead of allowing concert-goers to bring in their own drinks.

A Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) is required to provide alcohol services, and starts with a $50.00 application fee.

If selected, those vendors will then pay an additional $250.00 to be issued a two-year CUA.
Applications are available at the Chamizal National Memorial, 800 S. San Marcial, and must be returned by April 17.
