An accident happened during what is called a mud race outside of the Tequila's Bar.

A 68-year-old woman was enjoying the fun, when something went terribly wrong.

Sunday night, a dune buggy lost control and hit several people. Martha Camacho of Fabens was killed in the accident.

Lorena Rayos of Tornillo suffered burns to her arm, and a baby, Selene Camacho, suffered a cut to her face.

Armando Camacho, the grandson of the woman who died said he heard someone scream and he started running towards the commotion.

Camacho went on to say, "When I got there, I just saw my aunt picking up the little baby from behind my grandma's And I just saw my grandma laying down right there and she had a big cut on her leg."

Camacho says his grandmother's funeral is set for Wednesday.

The driver of the buggy is a 47-year-old man from Fort Hancock. Investigators are not identifying as of now.

LIke anything in life there is always an assumed risk of doing anything and in this case a life was lost but that was the assumed risk they took to watch that event. Just like the risk u take watching diablos on 3rd base line and a foul ball goes into the crowd. It does happen and if you do not feel safe you should be behind a crash gate or some type of protective barrier for such accidents as that.

My prayers to the family and my heart for your loss. Its never good to lose a loved one.
