A motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing at I-10 East and Airway Boulevard early Friday morning.

El Paso Police identified Gabriel Dominguez, 28, as the driver of the 2007 Harley Davidson that struck a raised curb at the Airway exit off I-10 East.

Investigators said Dominguez was not wearing a helmet and he was riding a Harley Davidson. They also said his injuries were initially serious but not life-threatening.

The Airway exit ramp was shut down for a couple of hours while police investigated.

Police suspect Dominguez may have been drinking but say they still have to draw blood to determine if that was indeed the case.

Don't know who designs the roads that have been recently done, but if this is the one that is hard to see especially at night as you enter Airways, I knew it was an accident waiting to happen, there are a few throughout El Paso that stick out like a sore thumb, what they were thinking by putting that divider there i don't know, I pray well wishes for Mr. Dominguez and all future drivers, always keep a close eye, the streets are dark and many more dividers are not visibly seen until it's too late
