EL PASO - Police are investigating an overnight hit and run accident involving a motorcycle.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. Wednesday on I-10 East near Hunter.  According to emergency scanners, witnesses reported seeing the car rear-end the back of the motorcycle.  The bike landed near the McRae off-ramp.

Witnesses also said the motorcyclist appeared to be unconscious.  He was taken to Del Sol Medical Center.  No word on his condition.

Police are looking for the driver of the car involved in the crash.
