My prayers are with you in your time of healing. I hope that all of the people that leave comments on here about not watching out for bikes and it isn't their responsibility realize that we have to get a license and watch out for cars so they should be just as obligated to do the same. Not everyone that rides a bike is wreckless. I know that this motorcyclist was not wreckless and at times trying to stop when a light turns red is not easy in a car let a lone on a bike. May god be with you.

I dont care if you dont like us, but we have the RIGHT to drive or RIDE whatever we want! So even if you dont like us, RESPECT us and and our RIGHTS! This is America right.

you have a obligation to drive like a respectable person 99% of bike accidents are your 4 wheelers that do not pay attention when driving ie talking on the phone or putting on make up...but then when we drive our cars and yes we have them too.. we pay even more attention cuz we know what it is like to be on both sides of the fence....

What does this have anything to do with the accident? The guy on the motorcycle ran a red light. HOW IS THAT THE FAUL OF THE PERSON IN THE CAR!!!

WE WERENT REFERRING TO THE VEHICLE INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT WE WERE REFERRING TO LARRYS COMMENT ABOUT HIM NOT BEING OBLIGATED TO WATCH OUT FOR BIKERS ON THE ROAD WHILE HE IS DRIVING.

FIRST AND FOREMOST ACCIDENTS HAPPEN THATS WHY THEY ARE CALLED ACCIDENTS. AS FOR YOU SAYING ITS NOT YOUR OBLIGATION TO WATCH OUT FOR BIKERS ON THE ROAD IT IS. IT IS EVERYONES OBLIGATION WHO DRIVES A VEHICLE TO BE AWARE OF ALL VEHICLES, PEDESTRIANS, AND ANIMALS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS ON OR COMES ON TO THE ROAD. PEOPLE NEED TO KEEP THEIR EYES ON THE ROAD WHEN DRIVING NOT ON THEIR CELL PHONE, STEREO, MIRROR APPLYING MAKE UP. IF YOU FEEL ITS NOT YOUR OBLIGATION THEN DO US A FAVOR AND DONT DRIVE!!!!

They do not make the NEWS CHANNEL, EDITOR, or PAPER MONEY!

With all the NATURAL phenomenon's occurring; People losing their lives, homes, family, and way of living, that Our Country will support & assist Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime yet here in our own backyard we can be "Neanderthals". I regret that my child has to grow up in a world where "The Almighty Dollar" has come to surpass even the intuitive belief of a "Greater Being" or "Love & Compassion for thy neighbor".
But at last, my words shall fall on deaf ears because once again-

I do not believe this is an actual comment left by a person in your community?
Not only does it depict how "Dumb and thought-less" people can be, but the Editor of whatever News channel or Paper had the lack of compassion to print it. I feel completely ashamed and sorry that AMERICA, one of the strongest, powerful, and supportive countries in the world today, could have such a lack of compassion for Our Own People.

WHEN WILL ALL THESE BIKE RIDING POEPLE UNDERSTAND, YOU ARE NOT SUPERMEN , AND YOUR HEADS ARE NOT HARDER THAN THE PAVEMENT MEANT FOR REAL CARS ? IF U CHOSE TO BE A RISK TAKER ON THAT DANGEROUS THING U CALL A VEHICLE , DO IT AWAY FROM US NORMAL VEHICLE DRIVING POEPLE, THIS IS SO SAD. BUT I HAVE MY OWN THINGS TO WATCH , AND DO NOT HAVE THE OBLIGATION TO WATCH OUT FOR THE SO CALLED BIKERS . LARRY

Actually you DO have the obligation to watch out for bikers, bicyclists, trucks cars and anything else that is legally on the road. I am not sure where you get the idea that you don’t have that obligation but that is one of those things that invalidates anything else you have to say on the subject. It is wiser to remain silent and thought a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

This person aside, my prayers are with you brother.

Like you have never ran a red light before accidents happen to us and our loved ones. Not all bikers are the same! I'm a BIKER and I follow the law, I will not stand for all people on two wheels but I will for my family and friends. You where not there so don't assume and judge us for a mistake.

I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line.
But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.

I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk..
But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall.

I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But, you didn't see me, attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.

I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children.
But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.

I saw you, stare at my long hair.
But, you didn't see me, and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.

I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves.
But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none.

I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos.
But, you didn't see me, cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in my heart.

I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family.

I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.

I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car.
But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.

I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.
But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.

I saw you, race down the road in the rain.
But, you didn't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.

saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right.

I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.
But, you didn't see me, leave the road.

I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there.

I saw you, go home to your family.
But, you didn't see me. Because, I died that day you cut me off.

I was just a biker,
A person with friends and a family.

Oh what a poet!!!
