EL PASO - Ever wonder what the most expensive homes in El Paso are? We count the most lavish and extravagant in the borderland from number 10 all the way to number 1.
With its large lot and prime location, our number 10 home in the upper valley is located at 904 Vista Mia Ct. Records from the Central Appraisal District show this home is worth $1.17 million home.
The home sits on half an acre in the El Paso Country Club area. It's also nestled behind a security gate, adding to its value. From the outside you can also see features that don't come cheap like the outdoor patio area, and French doors. One appraiser we spoke with says the location and sheer size contribute to the magnitude of the price tag.
Moving along our list, number 9 is located at 6116 Pinehurst and spreading across almost 17,000 square feet, it's smack dab in the middle of the Coronado Country Club neighborhood - another area that's in demand for those who can afford it.
"The design for up here, although we're starting to see more of this particular type design, it does have a bit of a mid-eastern flair to it with the dome on the top," said Angelo Amoriello with Amore Appraisals. He said he wasn't surprised when we told him it's valued at $1.19 million.
"Because there is a non-availability of vacant lots for somebody to come in here and if you were to buy a vacant lot it would be primo dollar," Amoriello said. He said the high-quality finishes like the stair-step stucco on the roof, the large windows, and the landscaping add up fast.
"Any type of landscaping in here is going to cost you money because of the terrace, the rear yard probably slopes downward," Amoriello said.
But don't expect the prices of these pads to be sloping downward - that's why they're the number 10 and number 9 most expensive homes in El Paso.
