EL PASO - Two more people have been infected with the West Nile Virus. That brings the total number of West Nile Cases in El Paso to 17.

We're told an 82-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman who live in the 79915 zip code area have the virus.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention an infection with West Nile Virus is most often spread to humans from the bite of an infected mosquito.

To report mosquito breeding, call the Code Compliance Division of the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department at 599-6290.

Yes my Uncle is one of the victims. Hopefully there is something that the City of ElPaso's Health Department can do to prevent this tragic to any other people. It is hard to see your love one lying hopeless in a hospital bed for something that there is not a cure for yet!! I am proud to say that he has been a fighter and is trying to conquer this, at this time he is home with his family who loves him very much!! Love your Niece Josie L. Fernandez

Josie, I have a couple of questions I would like to ask you.
Can you please call me at 533-5876, or email me at agarcia@ktsm.com?

Thank you,
