More people expected to fly during Thanksgiving holiday this year
More people are expected to fly over the Thanksgiving holiday this year. An industry trade group says an estimated 25-million passengers will fly over the 12-day Thanksgiving travel period. That's one-and-a-half percent more than last year.
That 12-day period begins Friday, November 22nd and runs through Tuesday, December 3rd. The trade group, Airlines for America, said airlines are adding seats to accommodate the holiday demand.
It also said planes are expected to be more than 85-percent full on the busiest days.
