Employers needing to fill thousands of positions will be attending the Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande job fair next Tuesday.

The 11th annual "Get Hired" job fair and education expo will feature 4,447 job openings from 188 registered employers, including Nike factory store, Hewlett Packard, Coca-Cola, among many others.

"This is our biggest event of the year, and one of which we are very proud. We are committed to helping members of our region succeed and improving our local economy," said Lorenzo Reyes, Jr., Workforce Solutions Chief Executive Officer.

In 2012, the fair saw 9,452 job seekers, which caused severe traffic congestion and parking issues.

This year, Reyes says they have taken steps to alleviate that by leasing more parking spaces downtown and by working with Sun Metro to help transport job seekers to the Judson F. Williams Convention Center.

NewsChannel 9's Adrienne Alvarez sat down with Reyes for some tips on how job seekers can get hired on the spot.
