Millions for public housing to fund upgrades
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — More than $70 million is being doled out to improve public housing in Texas, and El Paso County will see $9 million of that.
The U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Developemtn is giving more than $8.9 million to the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso, and more than $100,000 to the County Housing Authority.
The money is to be used for major improvements and upgrades, such as roof replacements and/or plumbing upgrades.
