Ft. Bliss Commanding General Dana Pittard has named Saturday, September 25 "Military Retiree Appreciation Day." Mayor John Cook also confirmed the declaration.

Military retirees, as well as their spouses and and family members, are invited to a ceremony at Biggs Army Air Field from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The director of the Military Officers Association of America, Commander Katherine O'Neill Tracy, will be the keynote speaker. Maj. Gen. Pittard will also be speaking.
