EL PASO - Game two for Mexico meant a return of the die hard to local bars.  Face paint and dyed hair were all apart of the superstition involved as Mexico tried to beat France to advance to the next round.

"I don't cut my hair before Mexico lose(s)," Manuel Martinez said.  "So (when) Mexico lose(s), that's gonna be the end of my hair."

And some just went with sunglasses and a bandana as a disguise as they ditched work to watch the game.

"Oh man, I hope they don't recognize me at work but the heck with it. it's worth it," Paco Carrera said.

And it turned out to be worth it for the people that piled into local bars this afternoon. Mexico beat France on two second half goals. The guys in green weren't the only ones to come away a winner.

Local bars are capitalizing on the popularity of the World Cup.

"It's great for business," Ted Aikman, owner of the King's X said.  "Last Friday when they started at 8:30, we had a decent crowd.  Not as crowded as today but it helps business."

It all starts again when the US  plays Slovenia tomorrow at 8 am.
