Family and friends of Theodore "Ted" Bender will remember him during a memorial service Tuesday.

A memorial service will be held January 15, at 11 am at Second Baptist Church on 401 S. Virginia.

Bender passed away January 7, 2013 at the age of 87.

Bender became the weatherman for KTSM in 1962 and retired in 1990 from the station.

He is survived by his wife Majanah Bender, daughter Marjorie Lenore Bender and grandchild Andre Louis Bender.
