The rush is on!

You’ve only got about three hours left to purchase a mega millions lottery ticket, before tonight's big drawing.

People were lining up at almost every gas station to get their chance to win 400 million dollars in Tuesday’s jackpot.

"Maybe I’ll go inside and buy one right now," said Will Rivera, from East El Paso.

It only takes a few bucks to play, and it’s those single dollar bills that some players hope will turn them into mega millionaires.

"I don't know if I will win,” said Eloy Valencia, as he held up his lottery ticket. “It be great if I did."

Chances of winning are 1 in 258 million, and more players are buying more tickets, over 35 billion dollars’ worth.

"I am going to end up buying a couple,” said hopefully lottery player Tyler Tafoya. “About 6 or 7 hopefully."

If it seems like the jackpot is getting bigger and bigger every time, that's because it is.

The lottery has now expanded to 43 states including Washington D.C. and the Virgin Islands.

No matter the odds or the money at stake.

People already know what they'd do if they found out they were mega millionaires.

"I’d buy a bunch of video games,” said Cristian Hernandez, from west El Paso. “And then me having my priorities straight then I would pay for the rest of my school.”

"I’d make sure I get my family a brand new house and make sure they are taken care of. And then I’d probably take care of all of my family's debt including my extended family," said Tafoya.

“I’d pay for my student loans first and then I would buy a really nice car,” said Rivera.

The jackpot is expected to grow even larger as more people buy tickets.

You only have until 8:45 tonight to purchase your ticket and the draw takes place at 9:00 p.m. sharp.
