The Commander of William Beaumont Army Medical Center tonight says a medical mistake could have put thousands of diabetes patients at risk for a list of blood born diseases.
Those include hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.
The hospital says some of their medical staff was misusing a pen like instrument to give patients injections of insulin.
One pen was being used for injections in multiple patients.
More than 2000 people may have been affected.
