Saturday, July 9, 2011 - 7:05pm

EL PASO - Some day they could care for you or your children, but today a group of aspiring doctors received their first white coats.

In all, 82 first year medical students from the Texas Tech Paul L. Foster School of Medicine took part in the ceremony.

The coats serve as a symbol and reminder to take care of their future patients and also care for them.

This first-year class of medical students is planning to graduate in 2015.
