I remember one time the city of Pitsburg P.A. was given a 1 billion dollar grant (which means the money does not have to be paid back FYI) by the federal government for its "Big Dig" and other improvements around town, and the city looks better than ever now. When is ELP going to realize that we are no longer a small town, and start looking at better ways to fund projects -such as the example I just gave- that improve our community and help provide more local better paying jobs. Just imagine what 1 billion dollars would bring to this city. Projects such as removing the railroad stock yard in central ELP would be within reach, not to mention the completion of our very own central park, and maybe just maybe the contruction of our very first skyscraper, that would totally lead the way towards the image of the future of our great city.
