Mayor Cook to Visit Homes of High School Dropouts

EL PASO – High school dropouts around El Paso could be getting a visit from Mayor John Cook this weekend.

Mayor Cook and other dignitaries from the community will be knocking on doors of high school dropouts this Saturday to encourage them to return to school.

Operation Outreach has become an annual event for Mayor Cook, who has joined forced with EPISD for the past three years.

Through Operation Outreach and other initiatives, EPISD said it has been able to bring hundreds of students back to the classroom.
