EL PASO - Mayor John Cook spoke to News Channel 9 about his thoughts on the water crisis.

He says the entire community needs to pitch in so El Paso can overcome this water shortage as quickly as possible.

"Leave the decision making to the experts. If the water utilities says we're on water restriction they're doing it for a reason, so that we can all have enough water to run our households. If we're asking employers not to open because of a water emergency they should really take that seriously. We know what we're talking about," Mayor Cook said.

Mayor cook also asked for patience from the community saying the city is doing everything it can to restore water.

Mayor Cook should worry as much about the illegals as he supposedly is about the water shortage. He allows Mexican drivers with Mexico plates to get away with not paying taxes and allows the Mexicans to live here.
Get out of office and let someone else who will do the job in.

if he is so worried then why is he on vacation? Must be nice. At least the designer of the Titanic went down with his ship......
